We believe we have succeeded in creating a unique, authentic Italian trattoria in Shaftesbury that mixes fantastic food with stunning décor, a romantic atmosphere and an impressive setting, to provide you with a memorable dining experience.
San Tonino – set in a soaring converted chapel in Mustons Lane just off of Shaftesbury’s High Street – ticks all the boxes if you’re looking for a luscious lunch or delectable dinner.

Our spacious, lofty dining room can seat 100 with ease under the central chandelier, without feeling crowded. That’s why we’re glad to host large parties – whether it’s a family celebration, business dinner or get-together with friends.
Of course, we enjoy tending to intimate tables for two as well, or at the other end of the scale we’re happy to loan out the entire restaurant for a function.

Cocktails are also part of the mix on offer at San Tonino, and we have a superb selection of Italian wines.
We invite you to join us any day for lunch (Noon to 2.30pm) and dinner (5.30pm to 10.30pm). We’re open seven days a week.
We’re genuinely Italian, so of course we do perfect pizza and pasta. Being the real thing, we like to think ours are a cut above the ordinary pizza or calzone you’ll get from a fast food chain, or plastic-wrapped pasta quickly defrosted in the microwave.
All our authentic Italian food is made fresh from scratch, with most of the non-perishable ingredients imported straight from Italy.
You’ll find something to suit all tastes on our menu from crispy squid or scallop starters through remarkable risottos, to mouth-watering chicken and meat dishes.

We have a children’s menu, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options – in fact, we cater for all dietary preferences and allergies.
